All figures are estimates based on industry averages and the 55% creator / 45% YouTube revenue split. Actual revenue depends on ad demand, geographic audience mix, seasonal ad budgets, viewer behavior, and YouTube's internal algorithms. All calculations run entirely in your browser - no data is sent to any server.

Estimate YouTube ad revenue for both individual videos and entire channels in one tool, split across two tabs. The Video Estimate tab calculates how much a specific video earns based on its total views, content niche CPM, video length (mid-roll eligibility at 8+ minutes), average audience retention, primary audience region (Tier 1 vs. mixed vs. developing), and monetization rate. The Channel Estimate tab projects monthly and annual channel income from upload frequency, average views per video, typical video length, and optional additional streams: Channel Memberships (70% creator share), Super Chats from live streams (70% creator share), and Merchandise sales (~85% to creator). Results include total earnings, RPM, ad impressions, per-video AdSense income, earnings per 1,000 subscribers, a revenue breakdown bar chart, and a ±30% realistic range. Video length mid-roll impact is shown explicitly - videos under 8 minutes show a tip estimating how much more they could earn with mid-rolls. All 14 niche presets auto-fill realistic CPMs. All calculations are browser-side with no server upload.

How to Use

  1. 1Choose the Video Estimate tab to estimate earnings for a single video, or Channel Estimate for ongoing channel income projections
  2. 2Select your content niche from the grid - this auto-fills the industry-average CPM for that category
  3. 3Adjust the Custom CPM slider if you know your actual YouTube Studio CPM (or leave the preset for an industry average)
  4. 4Video tab - enter the video's total view count in the input box or click a preset (1K, 10K, 100K, 500K, 1M, 5M, 10M)
  5. 5Select the video length bracket - videos under 8 minutes cannot run mid-roll ads; videos 8–15 min earn ~1.8× more, 30+ min earns ~3.2× more
  6. 6Set Avg Viewer Retention - higher retention means more ads are watched per view (45% is the YouTube average baseline)
  7. 7Choose your Primary Audience Region: Tier 1 (US/UK/CA/AU) applies full CPM; Mixed Global applies 60%; Developing Regions applies 22%
  8. 8Set the Monetization Rate - the percentage of views that generate an ad impression (40–50% is typical)
  9. 9Read the result cards: Total Earnings, RPM, Ad Impressions, and Mid-roll Bonus (shown only for 8+ min videos)
  10. 10Check the Ad Revenue Breakdown bars (pre-roll vs. mid-roll split) for videos 8+ minutes long
  11. 11If your video is under 8 minutes, read the amber tip box showing how much more it could earn with mid-rolls

  13. 13Enter your average views per video and choose an upload frequency (Bi-weekly to 2×/day)

  15. 15Toggle Channel Memberships, Super Chats, or Merch on and fill in the inputs to include those revenue streams
