Convert magnetomotive force (MMF) across 8 units in two systems: SI / Metric (Ampere-turn, Kiloampere-turn, Milliampere-turn, Microampere-turn, Megaampere-turn) and CGS / Gaussian (Gilbert, Milligilbert, Biot). MMF drives magnetic flux through a circuit just as EMF drives current through an electric one. 1 Gilbert = 10/(4π) At (exact). All 8 conversions display simultaneously. Adjustable significant figures and scientific notation. Quick-reference covers relay coils, power transformers, DC motors, and MRI systems. 100% browser-based.
How to Use
- 1Type an MMF value in the input field (e.g. 1000 for 1000 At)
- 2Select your starting unit from the From dropdown - SI or CGS group
- 3Select your target unit in the To dropdown
- 4All 8 conversions appear simultaneously across both unit groups
- 5Hover any result row to reveal copy and use-as-input buttons
- 6Click ⇅ on any row to use that value as the new input for reverse conversion
- 7Click ⇄ to swap From/To units
- 8Adjust Sig. figures (3–12) for the required precision
- 9Toggle Sci notation for very large MMF values (MRI magnets, etc.)
- 10Open the quick-reference table for typical coil and magnet MMF values
