Extract and display every piece of metadata embedded inside your photo files. EXIF data includes GPS coordinates with a clickable map, capture date and time, camera make and model, lens details, aperture, ISO, shutter speed, focal length, exposure mode, flash status, and white balance. For photos edited in Lightroom or Photoshop, XMP metadata reveals the full edit history. A raw EXIF dump shows every tag for complete technical inspection. Useful for verifying photo authenticity, finding the location of an old travel photo, or identifying camera settings. All processing is local in your browser - your photos never leave your device. No account required.
How to Use
- 1Drag and drop an image onto the upload area, or click to browse and select a file
- 2The overview card shows key stats at a glance: dimensions, megapixels, camera model, and capture date
- 3Open the 'Capture Information' section to see the exact date and time the photo was taken, plus the camera and lens details
- 4Check the 'GPS Location' section - if available, click 'View on OpenStreetMap' to see where the photo was taken on a map, or 'Copy Coordinates' to copy the decimal coordinates
- 5Open 'Camera Settings' to inspect aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, flash, white balance, and metering mode
- 6Open 'Edit Information' to see whether the photo was edited, what software was used, and - for Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop files - the full step-by-step XMP edit history
- 7Check 'Technical Details' for orientation, color space, resolution (DPI), bits per sample, and compression type
- 8Expand 'All EXIF Tags' at the bottom to see the complete raw dump of every embedded metadata field
- 9Click 'Copy Report' to copy the complete metadata summary as formatted text to your clipboard
