What is the .ics file format?

iCalendar (.ics) is the universal standard for calendar data exchange, defined in RFC 5545. All major calendar applications - Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird - can import .ics files.

How do recurring events work?

Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly when creating an event. A recurring event appears on every matching date after the start date when you navigate the calendar. The recurrence rule is also included in the .ics export.

Is my calendar data private?

Yes - all events are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. No data is uploaded to any server. Clearing your browser storage will erase your calendar, so export to .ics for backup.

Can I import events from another calendar?

Currently the tool supports exporting to .ics. To import, open the exported .ics file directly in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook - they will add the events to their own calendars.

Each event has a title, start/end dates, start/end times, an all-day toggle, one of six colors (blue, red, green, orange, purple, teal), a description, and a recurring schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly). Events with the same date appear as colored dots in the month grid and as full event cards in the day panel. Multi-day events appear on every date in their range. Edit or delete any event by clicking the pencil icon. Export your entire calendar as a standard .ics file - compatible with Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook, and any other calendar app that supports the iCalendar format. All events are saved in browser local storage and persist across page reloads and browser sessions. No server uploads, no accounts, no data ever leaves your device.

How to Use

1Navigate to the desired month using the left/right arrows or click Today to jump to the current date
2Click any day in the month grid to select it and view its events in the panel below
3Click Add Event (or the + button in the day panel) to create a new event
4Fill in the event title, date range, time, color, and optional recurring schedule, then click Add Event to save
5Click the pencil icon on any event in the day panel to edit or delete it
6Click Export .ics to download all your events as a standard iCalendar file for use in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook
7All events are stored in your browser - no account or login required
